NOTICE OF POSITION

 

POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Ebony E. Prophet-Bullock, Ed.D., is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

WORK BASED LEARNING COORDINATOR
FOR CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) AT OTC

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a permanent/professional New York State teaching certificate and have or be in the process of completing applications for a valid New York State Work-Based Career Awareness and/or Coordinator of Cooperative Work Study Programs Extension.  Candidates must attach a PDF or a screenshot of their certifications.

EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must have completed three years of approved and appropriate teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably in a high school setting. Special consideration will be given to applicants who hold a Special Education teaching certificate. The candidate should also have experience with students accessing special education services.

DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Director of Career and Technical Education and the Supervisor/Principal of OTC

  • Compliance with all NYSED and NYSDOL guidelines as they pertain to school youth in all work-based learning experiences
  • Collaborate in the set up and administration of student assessment
  • Oversee the Work Based Learning activities as outlined by NYSED parameters
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and oversee work experiences
